Actress Kim Hyun-joo will star in a new Netflix sci-fi movie directed by Yeon Sang-ho, who was behind the 2016 mega hit zombie flick "Train to Busan."
The film, tentatively titled "Jung-yi," is Kim's first in 10 years, but her second project with Yeon, as they have also been working on the upcoming Netflix series "Hellbound."
Set in the 22nd century with the planet rendered uninhabitable by climate change and humans living in man-made shelters, the movie revolves around a group of people who try to make robots by cloning a legendary mercenary's brain in order to win a civil war.
Kim, who continues to maintain a successful acting career 25 years after her debut, recently appeared in JTBC's TV series "Undercover," which ended in June.
The film will begin shooting in the second half of this year.
