Kim Kwang-hyun of the St. Louis Cardinals picked up his third win of the season on Monday, making his best start of the season with seven shutout innings.
In an away game against the San Francisco Giants, he pitched seven scoreless innings. He allowed just three hits and two walks with two strikeouts, helping his team to secure a 5-3 victory.
With Monday's victory, Kim lowered his ERA from 3.79 to 3.39.
He has pitched fewer than five innings in six out of his 14 starts this season, but he impressed this time with a career-high performance since his Major League Baseball debut in 2020.
