Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur scored his 16th goal of the season in the English Premier League on Sunday, setting a new personal EPL record.
Son scored in a home match against Sheffield United to lead his team to a 4-0 victory. In the 77th minute, he rounded off his team's superb performance by curling the ball into the net.
He also assisted Gareth Bale's goal in the 61st minute, for his 10th assist this season.
Son became the first Spurs player to both score and assist more than 10 goals for two consecutive seasons.
In all competitions so far for the season, he has posted 21 goals including a goal in the Carabao Cup and four in the UEFA Europa League, matching his record haul in the 2016-17 season. This means there is high chance of his breaking this record this season, which ends on May 23.
Son's previous personal best in the EPL was 14 goals in 2016-17.
