Actress Han Ye-ri's career looks set to move to the next level thanks to her appearance in the highly acclaimed "Minari," an autobiographical film by Korean-American director Lee Isaac Chung.

Han last week signed with U.S. management agency Echo Lake Entertainment, which represents Dakota and Elle Fanning, among other Hollywood luminaries.

"Minari" is the story of a Korean family who move to a small town in Arkansas in the 1980s in pursuit of the American dream. It has earned a great number of honors at international film festivals and awards ceremonies, notably the Sundance Film Festival and the Golden Globe Awards. It has also been nominated in six categories at the upcoming Academy Awards.

Han's performance as the struggling mother of the family in the film won her the Best Actress gong at the inaugural Gold List awards, which recognize Asian and Pacific Islanders' achievements in the film industry. She is also up for the Best Supporting Female gong at the Film Independent Spirit Awards scheduled for April 24.

She is not nominated for an Oscar herself but will attend the U.S. film industry's most prestigious event on April 25.
