Korea's only mountain film festival is under way in the southern city of Ulsan.
The Ulju Mountain Film Festival, in its sixth year, opened on April 2 and will run until April 11.
A total of 146 films from 43 countries are being screened offline, and 103 of them are also available for online viewing.
The documentary "K2: The Impossible Descent" directed by Slawomir Batyra and featuring Andrzej Bargiel opened the festival. It follows Bargiel's descent from the peak of the Himalayan mountain K2 on skis in July 2018. He is the first person ever to achieve the feat. He completed the seemingly impossible task without removing his skis, after having reached the summit without supplementary oxygen.
The closing film, "Mavzer" by Turkish director Fatih Özcan, depicts life in a rural village in the mountains of Anatolia.
