Actress Seo Ye-ji's new film is set for release late this month. "Recalled" is her first project since she appeared in cable channel tvN's hit TV series "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" last year, which catapulted her to stardom.
The mystery thriller revolves around a woman who begins to see the future after losing her memory. As her memory returns, she discovers a shocking truth about her husband.
"I've watched all of the films and TV series that Seo has appeared in. I really like the contrast between her delicate appearance and the strong-willed look in her eyes, so I thought she would fit the role perfectly," director Seo Yoo-min, who is making her feature film directorial debut with the thriller, said at a press event on Thursday, ahead of its release on April 21.
"You may have experienced some strange feelings toward someone close to you, like your spouse or lover, and then you suddenly feel like a total stranger, which is something that scares me. Viewers might also experience such fears through the film," the actress said.
"I've long been awaiting the film's release, so I'm very excited, but also nervous," she added. "The film tells a story that reaffirms the fact that we are hurt in relationships and we heal in relationships, so I hope it will help viewers heal and find happiness."
