Adrienne Hill, an American "influencer" living in Korea, is garnering viewers with her latest clip on her YouTube channel, which shows her traveling around a temple near Seoul.
The clip is part of a series by the Korea Tourism Organization that introduces key travel destinations in Korea with the aim of offering services for global viewers who are unable to travel to the country due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In the less than 10-minute-long clip, Hill and her Korean guide visit Hoeam Temple in Yangju, Gyeoggi Province, an hour's drive from the capital.
They participate in a program which allows them to learn about the history of the temple and experience calm and relaxation while seeking serenity and meditation at the temple. They also have a chance to experience "chadam," a conversation with monks over tea, and "balwoogongyang," a Buddhist way of eating a meal.
Viewers can vicariously experience the relaxing feeling the two enjoy as they stroll around the temple.
Next they visit restaurants and cafes exclusively for vegans and vegetarians in Seoul's exotic district of Itaewon and the trendy Hongik University area. Many viewers will find it mouthwatering to see the two trying a variety of dishes and desserts there.
One viewer left a message saying, "Every scene is so beautiful. I want to try a temple retreat someday." Another said, "I didn't know those places when I visited Korea last time. I will definitely visit there in my next trip."
The video can be viewed on Hill's YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4LXZsWEdWI-T8MNKljOb3A.
It is also available on the KTO's official YouTube page.
