Travel Cited as Top Activity Koreans Want to Resume After COVID-19 Eases

      Travel is the leisure activity Koreans are most looking forward to resuming once the coronavirus epidemic ends.

      The Korea Culture and Tourism Institute said Monday that in its poll of 2,000 people, 69.6 percent chose travel when asked to name the activity they most want to do after the coronavirus ends.


      Some 13.3 percent cited cultural activities, followed by socializing (13.1 percent) and sports (4.1 percent).

      Some 73.1 percent said cultural and tourism activities help relieve mental stress caused by the epidemic.
