Incheon International Airport has been chosen as the official consultant for a new airport project in Warsaw, edging out Japan's Narita Airport.

For the next three years, the Korean airport will provide consultancy services for the construction and operation of the new airport in the Polish capital, which is scheduled to open in 2027. The deal is estimated to be worth W5.6 billion (US$1=W1,108).

Faced with increasing demand at Warsaw Chopin Airport, Poland started planning for a new airport two years ago.
