Standard & Poor's has raised its economic outlook for Korea this year to -0.9 percent from -1.5 percent.
The revision, which is made in a report released on Sept. 24, is based on an increase in consumer spending and an upturn in trade.
However, for next year, S&P lowered Korea's projected growth to 3.6 percent from its earlier forecast of 4 percent.
The agency also revised upwards its growth outlooks for China, Taiwan and Vietnam for this year.
