More spectators are now permitted to enter baseball stadiums as fans have behaved themselves while keeping social distancing and following safety measures amid the coronavirus lockdown.
The Korea Baseball Organization began its season on May 5 without audiences. It started allowing spectators to watch games at a few stadiums in late July and then expanded to all stadiums across the country, while not exceeding 10 percent of their capacities.
As there have been no mass infections reported at stadiums so far, the KBO has decided to allow spectator levels of up to 25 percent of capacity, in line with the eased lockdown guidelines by the government.
Accordingly, the number of spectators is expected to increase to around 4,000 to 6,000 per stadium.
