Ryu Hyun-jin of the Toronto Blue Jays scored his first win of the long-delayed season on Wednesday.
Ryu pitched five scoreless innings to secure a 2-1 win over the Atlanta Braves in Atlanta, Georgia. He threw 84 pitches with eight strikeouts and allowed only one hit and three walks.
It was his first win of the season after he joined the team earlier this year and the 55th of his Major League Baseball career.
Meanwhile, Kim Kwang-hyun of the St. Louis Cardinals will join the team's starting rotation after seven players tested positive for coronavirus.
He is expected to make his debut on Aug. 11 in a game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
