At least six people died and eight others went missing as heavy rains flooded central Korea over the weekend.
Torrential rains battered the capital region Saturday and Sunday, with the worst downpours measured in Chungju, North Chungcheong Province at 339 mm an hour.
More downpours are expected until Wednesday, according to the Korea Meteorological Administration, as Hagupit, this year's fourth typhoon concentrated in waters south of Okinawa, continues to affect the country.
Up to 500 mm of rainfall an hour are expected in central parts until Wednesday.
