Japan's exports to Korea plunged to an 11-year low in May amid the coronavirus epidemic.

They have been declining since a boycott of Japanese products in response to Tokyo's export restrictions against Korea.

The Korea International Trade Association said on Wednesday that Japanese shipments to Korea amounted to just over US$3 billion in May, down 18 percent on-year.

The island country's exports of raw materials and semiconductors fell by roughly 49 percent and 30 percent respectively.
