Jobseekers have drastically slashed their salary expectations amid the coronavirus epidemic, a poll suggests.
A poll of 1,917 job hunters by employment portal Job Korea found that their salary expectations have come down 2.6 percent to W29.7 million as employment opportunities become increasingly scarce (US$1=W1,240).
The salary expectation of university graduates fell by 3.1 percent to W31 million. The hopes of graduates of vocational college slumped even more by 5.1 percent to W27.7 million, while high-school grads’ plunged 8.4 percent to W27.4 million.
