LG will release its new mid-range smartphone next week, the company said Thursday.

The Q61 is priced at W369,600 and will hit store shelves on May 29 (US$1=W1,231).

The phone does not support 5G, but features four rear cameras -- one more than LG's latest flagship smartphone, the Velvet.

The phone's 48-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultrawide angle lens, 5-megapixel depth sensor and 2-megapixel macro lens allow the user to zoom in up to four times and shoot close-up pictures with a minimum focal distance of 3 cm.

It also has a 16-megapixel camera in the front.

The Q61 comes with a 6.5-inch display with minimal bezel, making it better for watching videos and playing mobile games.
