The news of Son Heung-min's return to England has Tottenham Hotspur fans excited. Son has returned to London after completing his three-week military training here last week, which was required as a condition of his exemption from mandatory military service.
Spurs' fan page Spurs Web said on Tuesday, "Two Spurs stars fly back to London as club prepare to potentially resume training," referring to Son and Steven Bergwijn.
The British government announced a gradual easing of COVID-19 lockdown rules on Monday, and indicated that sports events may be resumed without audiences from June 1.
English Premier League clubs are "hopeful of resuming training -- under strict guidelines -- from May 18," according to the Evening Standard, and Son "could miss the resumption of training" as he is putting himself in quarantine for two weeks under government guidelines.
