Hyundai on Wednesday unveiled its fully revamped Avante sedan. The launch event was livestreamed from a studio in Los Angeles, California due to the coronavirus epidemic.
The new Avante, which is sold as the Elantra in North America, has been given a stylish and sleek look with integrated headlamps and grille. Its chassis is 30 mm longer than its predecessor, at 4,650 mm, offering more interior space and legroom.
It is also equipped with the latest safety and convenience features along with voice-assisted functions. The sedan will hit showrooms here next month.
A day earlier, Kia launched a fully face-lifted version of its midsize Sorento SUV.
As the epidemic drags on, the automakers have also started promoting their new vehicles through an app that provides potential customers with augmented reality-based views of the interiors and exteriors of cars.
