Korea's professional baseball league has postponed its regular season due to fears over coronavirus.
At a meeting on Tuesday, the Korea Baseball Organization decided to push back the start of the season from March 28 to sometime in mid-April. The KBO said it made the decision after consulting with health experts and emphasized that the health of fans and players is its top priority.
It has already canceled all pre-season games initially scheduled for March.
If the situation doesn't improve by April, the games could go ahead without any spectators, as the KBO still plans to play all 144 games in the season.
