Ki Sung-yueng of RCD Mallorca made his debut in the Spanish Primera Liga on Saturday.
Ki played for about 10 minutes after being substituted in the 82nd minute in a match against SD Eibar. Mallorca won the match 2-1.
Ki signed a short-term deal with Mallorca last month after his plans to return to Korea faltered.
With Saturday's match, Kim became the seventh Korean to play in Spain's top league.
Lee Chun-soo was the first to do so when he joined Real Sociedad CF in 2003, later playing for CD Numancia on loan, followed by Lee Ho-jin for Racing de Santander in 2006, Park Chu-young for Celta Vigo in 2012, Kim Young-gyu for UD Almería in 2013, Lee Kang-in for Valencia CF in 2018, and Paik Seung-ho for Girona FC in 2019.
It was Ki's first match in over two months, his previous outing being for Newcastle United in England's FA Cup on Jan. 4.
