Businesses are canceling or delaying their recruitment plans amid the coronavirus outbreak.
In a survey of 358 companies by job search portal Saramin released on Thursday, 26.5 percent said they had either changed or deterred their plans to hire new employees due to the outbreak.
Among those changing their hiring plans, more than half had postponed hiring indefinitely, while the rest said they will minimize the number of job interviews in their hiring process or hire only a handful of new employees. But some 12.6 percent said they were not hiring at all.
"Companies are most concerned about conducting face-to-face interviews, for fears of infection," a staffer at Saramin said.
