Many people are staying home to avoid human contact because of the coronavirus scare. But they often keep their windows closed for fear of the infection somehow wafting into their house, and that is precisely the wrong thing to do.
Regular ventilation freshens the indoor air and strengthens the immune system, providing better protection against coronavirus and other infections.
It is a good idea to open the windows for just about 10 minutes in the afternoon, when there is the biggest difference between indoor and outdoor temperatures. But the air quality improves more significantly if you ventilate your home about three times a day.
Then take a stroll, preferably in an unpeopled area, because people's health also suffers when they do not move enough, which in fact makes them more prone to infections.
