The government is working to help foreigners here obtain information on coronavirus amid rising concerns over the disease.
The Justice Ministry last week introduced extended operating hours for an information hotline for foreigners. They can now dial 1355 at any time of the day if they need help or have other general inquiries.
The service is available around the clock in English and Chinese as well as Korean. Previously it was available from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays only.
The ministry said it plans to provide translation services on the Korean-language health hotline, 1339, so that foreigners with suspected symptoms can promptly take appropriate measures.
