Korea beat Jordan 2-1 in the quarterfinals of the Asian Football Confederation U-23 Championship in Thailand on Sunday.
The championship serves as the Asian qualifiers for this summer's Olympics in Tokyo.
The match looked set for a 1-1 draw, but Lee Dong-gyeong scored a free kick in the dying moments to finish the match, without going into extra time.
The final whistle came soon after, taking Korea one step closer to qualifying for the Olympics.
Now Korea is set to face Australia in the semifinals on Wednesday. If Korea wins and reaches the final, it will make its ninth consecutive Olympic appearance in men's football.
