Actor Lee Byung-hun's latest film "Ashfall" crossed its break-even point after attracting nearly 770 million moviegoers as of early this week.

The film, which cost W26 billion to make, created much hype with its star-studded cast including Ha Jung-woo and Su-zy, even before its release on Dec. 19 last year (US$1=W1,178).

According to the Korean Film Council, the volcano disaster flick is still drawing hordes of viewers, topping the box office for almost three weeks.

"Ashfall" depicts a group of people who try to stop a volcanic eruption of Mt. Baekdu in North Korea.
