South Korea will face Lebanon in Beirut on Thursday in the second round of the Asian qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Lebanon is not an easy opponent, with South Korea holding an overall record of two wins, two draws and a loss in away matches. Besides, the venue of Thursday's match, Camille Chamoun Sports City Stadium, is notorious for its poor pitch condition due to the bumpy and rough turf.
If South Korea wins, it will maintain the lead in its group, which includes North Korea, Sri Lanka and Turkmenistan, making it more likely to move on to the next round.
After Thursday's match, three of South Korea's four remaining matches -- except for the one against Sri Lanka -- will be played at home.
