Hwang Ui-jo of Girondins de Bordeaux scored his first goal in France's Ligue 1 on Saturday. Hwang scored the opening goal in the 11th minute of an away game against Dijon FCO, helping the club win 2-0.

It was Hwang's third match since moving to Bordeaux from Gamba Osaka in Japan's J-League last month. Bordeaux picked up its first win of the season after posting a draw and a loss.

On the same day in Germany, Kwon Chang-hoon of SC Freiburg scored in his debut match for the Bundesliga club. Kwon scored in the 90th minute, just five minutes after taking the pitch as a substitute, giving the club a 3-1 victory in an away match against SC Paderborn.
Kwon played for Dijon before joining Freiburg last month. It was the team's second win this season.
Before his fine debut on Saturday, Kwon went through a rough patch due to a series of injuries. Expected to be a mainstay of the Korean national team, he was sidelined during the FIFA World Cup and the Asian Games last year, and again during this year's AFC Asian Cup after rupturing his right Achilles tendon in May 2018. He also suffered a neck injury at the end of last season and recently recovered from a torn calf muscle.
