Gyeongbok Palace in Seoul will be open to visitors at night during next month's Chuseok, or Korean Thanksgiving.
The Cultural Heritage Administration said on Thursday the royal palace will stay open until 9:30 p.m. from Sept. 12 to 15. Tickets should be purchased in advance at ticketing site Auction, and will go on sale on Aug. 30.
A total of 4,500 people will be allowed in each night, with 500 spots reserved for foreigners and 100 spots for senior citizens. Up to 500 visitors wearing hanbok, or traditional Korean dress, will be admitted for free.
Gyeongbok Palace will be open at night during two other periods this fall -- from Sept. 22 to Oct. 5, and from Oct. 20 to Nov. 6.
