Wet Liberation Day Expected Due to Typhoon Krosa

    Typhoon Krosa is expected to hit Japan on Thursday, Korea's Liberation Day. The season's 10th typhoon will also bring rains to the Korean Peninsula.

    According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, Krosa is likely to reach the west of Osaka on Thursday after passing through the coastal city of Kagoshima on Wednesday afternoon.

    Under the influence of Krosa, rains are expected nationwide on Wednesday. Thursday will be cloudy throughout the country with 20 to 50 mm of rain per hour in eastern Gangwon Province and North Gyeongsang Province, with some areas seeing more than 250 mm of rain.
