Golfer Hur Mi-jung soared 36 spots to No. 43 in the latest women's world rankings on Monday, a day after winning the Ladies Scottish Open in North Berwick, Scotland. It is her highest ranking of the season so far.
Hur ended a five-year drought with last week's victory, which was her third career LPGA title following her wins at the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic in 2014 and the Safeway Classic in 2009.
Compatriot Ko Jin-young remained at No. 1 for a third consecutive week, followed by Park Sung-hyun at No. 2, Park In-bee at No. 6 and Lee Jeong-eun at No. 7.
