With Typhoon Lekima moving closer to the Korean Peninsula, heavy rains drenched the most part of the country on Sunday.
The Korea Meteorological Administration forecast as much as 250 mm of rain on Jeju Island until Monday afternoon and 20 to 60 mm of rain in the western parts of the country including Seoul until Tuesday morning.
Korea will get out of Lekima's direct influence as the typhoon passes through China's Shandong Peninsula on Monday and gradually dissipates as it heads north towards Bohai Bay.
