North Korea's Air Koryo will resume direct flights from Pyongyang to Macao after a hiatus of about 15 years.

Macao said on Wednesday that the state-run carrier will fly between the two cities twice a week from Aug. 2 to Oct. 26.

Air Koryo operated direct flights to Macao in the 1990s.

Currently, the airline's only direct, regular flights are to Beijing and Shenyang in China, and to Vladivostok in Russia.
