Striker Kim Shin-wook transferred to Shanghai Greenland Shenhua in China's Super League.
With the transfer, Kim reunites with his former coach Choi Kang-hee, who led Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors before moving to China. Choi and Kim together lifted the K-League trophy twice in 2017 and 2018, and won the AFC Champions League in 2016.
Choi was sacked by Dalian Yifang early this month, but signed with Shanghai Shenhua less than a week later to continue his journey in China.
Shanghai Shenhua, sitting in 14th place among 16 clubs, are in danger of being relegated to the second-tier league.
With his old protégé on board, Choi hopes to replicate the success with his new team.
Kim arrived in Shanghai on Monday. At a press event the next day, Kim said, "I will do my best to help save the team [from relegation]."
Shanghai Shenhua also acquired winger Stephan El Shaarawy of Italian club A.S. Roma.
