Hyundai Engineering has won a contract from Saudi Arabia's state-run oil company Aramco for a mega project.
Hyundai said Tuesday it signed a US$2.7-billion deal to build an oil and gas processing plant and its auxiliary facilities in the northeast region of Marjan. The contract is the biggest ever signed by a Korean company.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of October 2022.
Hyundai said it has built up trust with Aramco through its previous projects and hopes to expand its operations to other Middle Eastern countries.
