Ryu Hyun-jin of the Los Angeles Dodgers was on Sunday included in the roster for the Major League All-Star Game.
Ryu, who made his big league debut in 2013, will be the fourth Korean player to take part in an All-Star Game following Park Chan-ho in 2001, Kim Byung-hyun in 2002 and Choo Shin-soo last year.
Ryu's inclusion followed his brilliant start to the season, which has seen him post a league-best ERA of 1.83 along with a record of nine wins and two losses over 16 starts.
The annual professional baseball game contested between the all-stars from the American League and National League will be held in Cleveland, Ohio on July 9.
