Footballer Lee Kang-in is likely to play for Levante UD on loan from Valencia CF in Spain's La Liga, according to local media.
Spanish daily Deporte Valenciano reported on Tuesday that negotiations for the loan will be finalized soon. Levante manager Paco López reportedly called Lee to express interest in him.
Playing for Levante means the least disruption for Lee, as Levante is a very short distance from Valencia, the daily added.
Lee has emerged as one of the hottest young footballers after leading Korea to a runner-up finish at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland, where he won the Golden Ball award, which is given to the best player of the tournament.
A number of clubs have reportedly showed an interest in acquiring the midfielder, including Granada and Osasuna in Spain, and Ajax and PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands.
Lee, who has been hoping for regular playing time, is positively considering transfer options, as he has played just three matches since signing a contract with Valencia's top-tier team at the end of January.
