Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur appeared determined and physically fit at an open training session on Monday ahead of this weekend's UEFA Champions League final.
"My face is very tanned, as you can see. I am training really hard," the striker told Korean reporters who watched the session.
Tottenham will face Liverpool in the final in Madrid, Spain this Saturday.
When Son takes the field against Liverpool it will have been more than three weeks since his last match in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against AFC Ajax on May 8.
"I bet my life on every game. But I'm not denying that the Champions League final is special. Every footballer would dream of playing in the final," Son said. "But I'm not content just to have reached the final. I want to win," he added.
Son has endured a busy schedule without a break since June last year. He played 51 games for Tottenham in about a year, while also representing his country at the World Cup in Russia, the Asian Games in Indonesia and the AFC Asian Cup in the UAE.
"It has been a long and tough season. I laughed a lot, but there were also some setbacks. I realized how hard it is to stay in top shape for more than 10 months. Despite all that happened, this season isn't over yet," he said.
