Korea lost to Portugal 1-0 in the opening match of the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland on Saturday.

After Francisco Trincão of Portugal scored in the seventh minute, Korea tried to hit back but was not strong enough to contend against the apparent favorite of the World Cup.

Korea will now face South Africa on Tuesday, which suffered a crushing 5-2 defeat against Argentina.

Korea is grouped with Argentina, Portugal and South Africa.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the round of 16, along with the four best third-place finishers.
