Bangtan Boys, also known as BTS, are on track to take the top spot on both the American and British major music charts with their new album.
The album, "Map of the Soul: Persona," which came out last week, is expected to be ranked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart in the U.S. and the Official Chart in the U.K., which are set to be compiled later this week.
"Industry forecasters suggest the set, which was released on April 12, could earn between 200,000 and 225,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending April 18," Billboard said. "If the album opens at No. 1, it will mark the third leader for the act," it added.
BTS topped the U.S. chart last year with their previous albums, "Love Yourself: Tear" and its repackaged version, "Love Yourself: Answer."
BTS's new album is also bound for No. 1 on the U.K. albums chart as well. "If the group keep up their momentum, it will mark their highest charting release yet in the U.K. and become the first No. 1 album from a Korean act on the Official Chart," the Official U.K. Charts Company said.
