Golfer Ko Jin-young rose to No. 1 in the latest world rankings released on Monday following her first LPGA major victory.
After winning the ANA Inspiration in California on Sunday, Ko earned ranking points of 7.20 and overtook compatriot Park Sung-hyun at the top.
In six competitions she has so far taken part in, she claimed two titles, two runner-up finishes and one third-place finish.
Ko is the fifth Korean player to reach the world No. 1 following Shin Ji-yai in 2010, Park In-bee in 2013 and Ryu So-yeon and Park Sung-hyun in 2017.
Ariya Jutanugarn of Thailand came in third and Lee Min-jee of Australia fourth. Park In-bee and Ryu So-yeon also made the top 10 at 7th and 9th.
