The author of popular webtoon "The Secret of Angel" on Korea's largest portal Naver became one of the most searched keyword after her picture was released in celebration the series' first anniversary on Tuesday.
Naver published an interview with Lim Ju-kyung, who uses the pen name Yaongyi (kitten). Her pretty looks surprised many readers, and reactions included a fan gushing, "An angel is drawing an angel."
The romantic webtoon is about a girl transforming herself with the help of makeup and has been updated every Tuesday since April last year. It is often one of the most-watched webtoons on Tuesdays.
But nothing known about the author other than that she was born in 1991.
"I dreamed of becoming a cartoonist because I loved drawing from an early age," Lim said. "I did a lot of different things before committing myself to cartoons, and my experience in modelling helped me a lot with 'The Secret of Angel.'"
