Ko Jin-young won the Bank of Hope Founders Cup in Phoenix, Arizona on Sunday.
It was her third career LPGA title since she started to play on the tour just one and a half years ago.
Ko, who was four strokes behind the leader in fourth place until the third round, went seven under par in a superb final round at Wildfire Golf Club. She closed the gap by three strokes in the first half, before taking the lead after carding three consecutive birdies on the 14th, 15th and 16th holes.
Ko previously won the LPGA KEB–Hana Bank Championship in October 2017 and the Women's Australian Open in February 2018.
As long as it does not disrupt her fellow golfers, Ko prefers to leave the flagpole in a hole while putting, no matter how close she is. "I find it increases my chance of putting the ball in if I aim for a narrower flag pole rather than the hole itself," she said.
She also took some advice from fellow golfer Jennifer Song, who told her, "I don't get angry at bad shots, and just put the club in the bag and move on," Ko said. "I tried to focus on the game only, and I'm happy that I went bogey-free this weekend," she said.
