Korea finished second overall at the Winter Universiade, which ended in Krasnoyarsk, Russia early this week. Nearly 100 Korean athletes took part in the sporting event, which ran about two weeks and earned 14 medals in a dozen disciplines overall.
Korea earned nine medals in short-track speed skating, four in skiing and snowboarding, and one in curling. It took home fewer medals but succeeded in more disciplines than the one in 2017, where Korea won medals mostly in short-track and speed skating, finishing third overall.
The athletes will return home on Friday.
