The team reportedly includes Kim Chang-son, Kim Jong-un's de facto chief of staff, and Kim Chol-gyu, deputy chief of the Supreme Guard Command responsible for Kim Jong-un's security.

According to a local source, security guards shooed away reporters from a guesthouse on Monday where the North Korean team is staying. The officials are apparently still looking for a hotel where Kim Jong-un can stay.

They also reportedly discussed protocol with U.S. officials who visited the guesthouse the previous night.

North Korean team officials also visited a section of a cemetery where North Korean veterans of the Vietnam War (1955-1975) are buried, sparking speculation that Kim Jong-un will visit it too.

On Sunday, Kim Chang-son visited Bac Ninh and Hai Phong, which are home to Samsung and LG plants, as well as scenic Halong Bay.
