Lee Jeong-eun made her LPGA Tour debut at the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open at the Grange Golf Club in Grange, Australia on Thursday.

Lee, who earned a spot on the Tour after winning its inaugural Q-Series, finished with two birdies and two bogeys to card a disappointing even-par 72 in the first round.

"With the pressure of high expectations, my goal was just to shoot par in each round," Lee said after the round.

England's Jodi Ewart Shadoff finished the first round on top with a 7-under 65, while defending champion Ko Jin-young is in fourth place.

Lee registered for the tour under the name "Jeongeun Lee6." She said she prefers people call her "Six" and explained that she added the number at the end of her name as she shared the most popular name on the KLPGA Tour with five other players.

She aims to become the fifth straight Korean to be crowned this year's Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year after Kim Sei-young in 2015, Chun In-gee in 2016, Park Sung-hyun in 2017 and Ko in 2018.
