The U.S. is expected to levy huge anti-dumping duties on Korean oil pipes. The Commerce Department's preliminary decision on its annual review of Korean pipes was disclosed last week.
It imposes duties of 59 percent and 41.5 percent on Korea's NEXTEEL and Hyundai Steel, respectively -- a more than three-fold increase.
The department said the "particular market situation" in Korea affected the production cost of the pipes.
