Samsung will unveil its new flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S10, in San Francisco on Feb. 20. This is the first time it launches a top-of-the-line phone in the heart of Silicon Valley.
Samsung will also unveil a prototype foldable phone, if the invites sent out to the global media are anything to go by.
The invites show the number 10 lying sideways with the number zero divided into half by a long line across it. "We chose San Francisco because it is the hub of world's most cutting-edge technologies and where our major partners are concentrated," a Samsung spokesman said.
The Galaxy S10 will run on a 5G network and comes in three different types. The standard model has a 6.1-inch screen, the plus model has a 6.44-inch screen, and the cheaper version will have a 5.8-inch display.
The official launch date is expected to be sometime in March, though handsets that support a 5G network will come out later.
