Korea will be without star players like Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur and Ki Sung-yueng of Newcastle United in its second group-stage match of the Asian Football Confederation Asian Cup against Kyrgyzstan on Friday.
Son is set to join the team next week, while Ki's injury in the match against the Philippines early this week poses a tough challenge for Korea in a match against Kyrgyzstan. Ki pulled his right hamstring in the 1-0 win over the Philippines and will be out for at least a week.
Kyrgyzstan is ranked 91st in FIFA's world rankings, much higher than the Philippines (116th).
