Koreans' biggest worry is employment, and the thing they long for the most is a clean, healthy environment.
In a survey of 1,000 people by the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs, some 36 percent of respondents cited employment as their biggest worry, followed by physical and mental health with 17 percent, retirement with 15 percent, and children's education with seven percent.
Most respondents in their 30s to 50s said they are preparing or will prepare for old age, while more than 70 percent of over 50s said they cannot save up enough for their twilight years.
Most Koreans respondents they want to live in a pollution-free environment where people don't have to worry about toxic air. The next most common desires were a safe, crime-free society, and no worry about hospital expenses.
