Korea has reached the final of the Asian Football Confederation U-19 Championship for the first time in six years.
Korea beat Qatar 3-1 in the semifinal in Indonesia on Thursday. Jeon Se-jin netted two goals in the 23rd and 33rd minutes, and Um Won-sang scored a third goal just before the end of the first half. Lee Jae-ik was responsible for an own goal in the 52nd minute, but Korea managed to hold off Qatar's offense.
By advancing to the semifinal, Korea had already secured a berth in the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland next year.
The final will be held on Sunday. Korea last won the AFC championship in 2012.
